ABOUT

Men in Nursing at UCLA is intended to foster and promote a collaborative and supportive network amongst men and women within the nursing profession. We also seek to advance the inclusion of more men in the profession through the continuous promotion of a positive and strong image of male nurses. Men in Nursing at UCLA is proud to be a recognized chapter of the American Assembly for Men in Nursing

MISSION

1. To encourage men of all ages to become nurses and join together with nurses of both genders to strengthen and humanize health care.

2. To support men who are nurses or nursing students, to help them grow professionally, and allow them to demonstrate to each other and to society the increasing contributions made by men within the nursing profession.

3. To advocate for continued research, education and dissemination of information about men’s health issues, men in nursing, and all nursing knowledge at the local and national levels. 

4. To encourage member excellence in academia and involvement in social and service activities.

5. To provide role models and foster the development of leaders.

6. To support members’ full particpation in the nursing profession and its organizations, and use the Chapter for the specific objectives stated ave.
